I retrained as a counsellor after many years in a business environment, drawn to the ways our personal and professional lives shape one another. This background helps me understand the pressures people carry and the different roles they move between.
I believe everyone is capable of change, and my role is to support that process. I work in a steady, collaborative way, offering space to explore what feels difficult, consider new perspectives and develop coping strategies that feel meaningful to you.
At times we may look at past experiences and how they influence the present; understanding these patterns can help you approach life with greater clarity and choice.
I will encourage you to be curious about your experiences, feelings, emotions and reactions. This will enable you to explore what is happening within yourself and your relationships and create a new understanding and response. Change can be almost immediate, or it may take time. Either way I will be there to guide you, to listen and to understand.
I am trained as an integrative therapist, drawing from humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive approaches. This allows me to shape the work around you, rather than fitting you into a single model. My practice is rooted in the belief that therapy is a collaborative process, and that the relationship we build is central to meaningful change.
Learning doesn’t end with qualification. I continue to invest in ongoing CPD, choosing training that reflects the themes and experiences that arise in the therapy room. This helps me stay curious, informed and responsive, so that the support I offer remains intentional and attuned to your needs.
